Linking a collection
Link a template to a collection to batch-create videos from your data.
A collection is stored data, like a roster or a set of matchups. Point a template at a collection and SportStudio creates a video for every entry in one go.
Link a collection to your template
- Open a template and find the Link a collection dropdown.
- Pick the collection you want, like your roster.
- SportStudio matches the template's fields to your collection's columns by name. A name field lines up with your name column, colors match color fields, and headshots match a headshot column.
Adjust the links
Once you link a collection, each field gets a small chain icon. Click it to point a field at a different column, or to unlink it. Linked text and color fields stay editable. Type your own value and that field unlinks and keeps what you typed.
Preview one entry
Use the Preview dropdown to load one player or entry into the template. Check that everything lines up before you render the whole set.
Batch render
- Open Select items to render and choose the entries you want, or use Select All for the whole roster.
- Click Render. SportStudio creates one video per entry.
- You can close the tab. Renders keep going in the cloud, and you get an email when the batch is done.
