Introducing the Help Center

Most questions about SportStudio have a short answer. The hard part used to be finding it. Our help articles lived inside our support tool, away from the rest of the site and hard to browse.

So we rebuilt help from scratch. There’s now one place for guides, and a way to get help without leaving the editor.

One library, four groups

The help center lives at sportstudio.io/docs. Guides are grouped the way you use the product:

  • Getting Started: the quickstart, setting up your boards and your Brand Kit, and a tour of the menu.
  • Editing: the editor panel, the canvas, source editing, the timeline, previews and exporting.
  • Collections: importing your roster from a CSV and linking a template to a collection.
  • Account: changing your plan and adding teammates.

It opens on the 5-minute quickstart, which gets you from picking a template to your first render. Every Getting Started guide comes with a captioned video walkthrough, and more videos are on the way.

Each guide has an “On this page” list to jump between sections, and Previous and Next links so you can read straight through.

Search as you type

The search box at the top of the docs filters the guide list as you type. Press Enter and it takes you to the first match. If nothing fits, it says so, and the support chat is one click away.

Help inside the editor

A guide on another tab still means leaving your work. So we added small “?” icons inside the editor, next to the controls they explain.

Hover one and you get a short description with a video thumbnail. Click it and the walkthrough plays right there over the editor, so you never lose your place. A button under the video opens the full guide.

The first one sits next to the board selector. More are coming as we record them.

Written from the same video

Behind the scenes, a video guide starts as one recorded walkthrough. The captions, the written guide and the in-editor tip all come from that recording, which keeps the article, the video and the tip in step with each other.

Start with the 5-minute quickstart.
