Your logo shows up on almost everything you make, so it's worth getting the file right. The video above covers it. Here's the short version.
Use one of these two
- PNG with a transparent background for most things. Transparent means it drops onto any color cleanly. 1 to 5 MB is plenty.
- SVG if you have it. It scales to any size without getting blurry, so it's great for big displays.
The one mistake to avoid
A logo with a white box behind it. It looks fine on white and bad on everything else. Always export with a transparent background.
Quick checklist
- Transparent PNG (at least 1000x1000) or SVG
- Under 5 MB
- Centered, with a little breathing room around it
- Looks good on both light and dark
Don't have a clean file? Ask whoever made your logo for the original, or run it through a background remover like the one in Canva.
